Hyvinkää-Kunshan Online Friendly Exchange Meeting Held

On April 9th, Hyvinkää-Kunshan Online Friendly Exchange Meeting themed on “Together for a New Chapter of Friendship” was held to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the friendly ties between the two cities. Mayor Johanna Luukkonen and Deputy Mayor Pentti Halonen of Hyvinkää, and Deputy Mayor Chen Zhao of Kunshan, attended the event.
  Johanna Luukkonen said, Kunshan and Hyvinkää have maintained close exchanges in various fields such as economy and trade, education and culture, achieving fruitful results with many highlights over the past 15 years. She sincerely hopes that this meeting will serve as an opportunity for both sides to facilitate exchanges of visits, promote all-round cooperation, so as to draw on each other’s strengths, achieve resource sharing and win-win cooperation.
At the meeting, participants from both cities introduced their economic and social development and showcased the achievements of their cooperation in the field of cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The two cities also signed the “Sister Cities Agreement between Kunshan City of the People’s Republic of China and Hyvinkää City of the Republic of Finland”. Based on equality and mutual benefit, this agreement aims to further promote economic exchanges and educational cooperation between the two sides, and to actively carry out exchanges and cooperation in areas such as science and technology, culture, sports, and health.

Kunshan No. 1 Senior High School and Hyvinkää Upper Secondary School signed a three-year exchange plan, which will promote practical cooperation between the two schools in fields such as exchanges of visits among teachers and students, online communication, teaching and research, and cultural exchanges.
